Becht Engineering BT, Inc. (Becht BT) is currently looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with at least 6 - 10 years of experience in the design of lighting and power systems for all building types to join our team in any of our office locations throughout the northeast and mid-Atlantic. The ideal candidate is an established engineer who has developed their design skills on a range of projects, has a solid understanding of mechanical system basics, and is looking to assume a more significant role in the development of the mechanical system designs.
Requirements
Candidates will have some (or all) of the following qualifications:
PE License or willingness to obtain PE. Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (concentration in electrical design) 6 - 10 years of relevant professional experience in electrical building design Experience with AutoCAD is required Experience with Revit preferred Experience in some (or all) of the following project types: education, civic/government, financial services, retail, office, interior renovation, high tech/R&D, mission critical/data centers, and healthcare Knowledge of the LEED certification process (LEED Accreditation is a plus) Strong written and verbal communication skills required Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) required. Passion for sustainability Creativity and a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking Ability to collaborate in a team setting US Driver’s license is required Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access job site areas that are relevant to each client project.
