The Prevention Network Support & Community Change Organizer will be responsible for: Providing technical assistance and training on prevention and community engagement issues to the Network and its Member Programs. Facilitating the comprehensive environmental approach with Network Members. Gathering community needs assessment data with the Prevention Network Data Analyst and Coordinator to identify environmental factors affecting substance misuse, gambling, and related issues. Building a network of social service providers to support policy campaigns aimed at rebuilding the social safety net. Collaborating with Prevention Providers, Schools, and Parent Organizations to improve community quality of life in Brooklyn. Leading weekly Prevention Network Meetings and developing leadership training programs based on community needs. Researching, designing, and piloting programs for community leaders to facilitate evidence-based programs. Developing community-facing materials and hosting listening sessions to refine advocacy campaigns. Conducting outreach and increasing participation in various prevention and mental health initiatives. Identifying and nurturing member leaders and connecting with external prevention campaigns. Maintaining data on member involvement and supporting organizational planning and quality improvement activities. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 1-3 years of experience in facilitation, organizing, social work, or mental health fields. Competencies

Experience in community organizing, social services, or mental health. Strong communication, interpersonal, and data management skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for community events. Knowledge of systemic racism, bias, and commitment to supporting underserved communities.
