Role Description The Tech Ops team is responsible for deployment and maintenance of a fiber optic network throughout your market, and customer installations and repairs. In this role, you'll: Lead and manage a team to refine and implement a program for efficiently testing and accepting new network elements, including fiber optic plant, multi-tenant buildings, and network equipment. Drive cross-functional initiatives to identify and resolve common issues, ensuring robust and predictable product quality in high-volume, complex environments. Analyze vendor performance and field data, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and providing analytical leadership to connect production metrics with field performance. Monitor, review, and present concise vendor performance data and metrics to stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making and ensuring supplier compliance with Google's quality standards. Cultivate a quality-focused culture, manage project budgets in partnership with Finance and Controls, and provide executive-level project updates. At a minimum we'd like you to have: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications or a closely related field, or equivalent experience. Experience managing vendors, contracts, budgets on large-scale and complex projects; and working knowledge of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH). 5 years experience in the telecommunications or cable industry (one of the following areas: network operations, network construction and deployment, network architecture, network maintenance, customer installation, customer repair); OR related experience in general construction management, engineering, and project management. 5 years of experience in a vendor management role with customer-facing responsibilities. It's preferred if you have: Experience managing large scale projects and initiatives from start to finish with proven success. Proven success working collaboratively on cross-functional, and highly collaborative teams. Flexibility to adapt as role evolves and changes - which could be monthly, quarterly, or annually. 7 years experience in the telecommunications or cable industry (one of the following areas: network operations, network construction and deployment, network architecture, network maintenance, customer installation, customer repair); OR related experience in general construction management, engineering, and project management. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000 - $126,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
