As an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) you will be responsible for developing, achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department's daily operations.Essential functions to the success of this role include:Consistently promote a positive & healthy work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers.Collaboratively work with nurse leaders in maintaining productivity, supporting initiatives, and ensuring units/departments are appropriately staffed.Assist in identifying staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.Daily productivity and expense management and support unit/department manager with budget preparation.Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals.Encourage employee participation in decision through shared governance and support change management.Support professional development to improve employee retention.QualificationsIn addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified Assistant Nurse Manager candidates will need the following:2 years clinical RN experience6 months - 1 year clinical leadership experience, preferredA degree in nursing (BSN or MSN)Current RN License to practice in state of employment Life Support Certifications per Department Standards; e.g. NRP, EFM, TNCC, etc. Nursing Specialty Certification:Required to sit for certification within 6 months of hire/transferMust achieve certification within 2 years of hire/transfer into this rolePhysical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantlyBenefitsAbout USAt CommonSpirit Mountain Region, we believe in the healing power of humanity and serving the common good through our dedicated work and shared mission to celebrate humankindness.
