Remote opportunity for candidates located in the Upstate NY Area or NY Metro Region. Candidates MUST BE willing to travel up to 30% within the region. Role Description
As the Principal Technologist, you will serve as a customer-oriented liaison between sales, pre-sales engineering, and customer stakeholders. The position requires a strong understanding of how technology enables businesses to develop strategies and meet customer objectives. You will be involved in the entire sales cycle, leading meetings, assessing client needs, and identifying suitable solutions. You will also lead a matrix cross-functional team of technology leaders to define customers’ business and technical strategies. Your Impact
Define end-state architecture vision, strategy, and go-to-market plans leveraging Plus services and OEM solutions. Utilize technical vision and strategy plans to develop high-value solutions. Assist in designing and architecting solutions tailored to customer requirements, facilitating design architecture, and conducting peer reviews. Develop customer relationships and expose stakeholders to emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership to sales, engineering, and strategy teams. Promote ePlus services with customers, OEM partners, and internally. Act as a communication conduit between customer technical stakeholders and internal teams. Engage pre-sales teams to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and update management. Serve as a trusted advisor with key clients and work with Solution Architects on strategic solutions. Lead technical briefings, co-present project plans, and guide technical resources. Coordinate with SMEs to develop solution requirements and Statements of Work (SOW). Engage with customer operational staff to track progress and identify new opportunities. Leadership Responsibilities
Lead and mentor team members, fostering growth and collaboration. Promote an inclusive environment valuing diverse perspectives. Drive strategic initiatives and innovation. Handle conflict resolution proactively. Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years in field-based services management with at least 5 direct reports. Experience managing a field services organization and growing a Professional Services practice. Experience in operations and project management. 8+ years designing or implementing complex networks, systems, storage solutions, and cloud integrations. Certifications such as CCIE, CCDE, AWS, GCP, CCSP, CISSP, CSA, CCDP preferred. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of infrastructure services, data center design, and cloud solutions. Position Details
The salary range at start is expected to be $180,000 to $225,000 annually, with potential bonuses and benefits. Exact compensation depends on experience and market factors. Benefits include medical, financial, and paid time off. Details will be provided upon offer. Additional Information
