We are seeking an experienced

Underwriting Manager

to lead a west coast regional team specializing in

Miscellaneous Medical Malpractice and Life Sciences . This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving growth, managing a $30M book of business, and mentoring underwriters in a collaborative and evolving team environment. Reporting to senior leadership, this individual will balance

strategic oversight

with a hands-on approach—rolling up their sleeves to manage top accounts while fostering team cohesion. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of underwriters Manage and grow a significant book of business Oversee top regional accounts and maintain strong broker relationships Drive performance, accountability and profitable growth Serve as a visible market leader through conferences, panels, and industry events Ideal Candidate Profile 10+ years in insurance (not all must be in Miscellaneous Medical) Strong people leadership and team management background Underwriting expertise in Medical Malpractice or Allied Health Willingness to scale to lead all business lines in the region This role offers the opportunity to: Lead a collaborative, high-performing team in a growing market segment Shape regional strategy and drive significant business impact Be part of a U.S.-focused team with global connectivity If you are interested in having a confidential conversation, please email resume to Chris Caputi at ccaputi@prs2000.com.
