They are seeking an Engineering Team Manager to lead the API and Service Frameworks team, guiding technical strategy and mentoring engineers while collaborating with stakeholders on core systems. This role involves leading a team to support internal development and external integrations, ensuring best practices in software development. Responsibilities: • Lead and grow a team of strong engineers centered on empathy – not only do we support internal customers, but we mentor each other, review each other's code thoughtfully, and collaborate on complex problems. • Engage with cross-functional partners to shape the future of resilient, performant, and secure services at Squarespace. • Partner with other leaders to influence larger product, architectural, and organizational choices. Qualifications: Required: • 6+ years of backend engineering experience in Java and Spring. • 2+ years in a team lead, tech lead, or engineering management role. • Experience building and maintaining frameworks, platforms, or developer tooling at scale. • Strong understanding of API architecture, lifecycle management, and developer experience.
