The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center (UHCMC) is continuing to expand our division of Maternal Fetal Medicine. Faculty at UHCMC have academic appointments at Case Western Reserve University at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor commensurate with experience. Ample opportunities exist for basic science and clinical research. Qualifications: · Board-certified or Board-eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine · Active Ohio Medical License in good standing upon effective date of employment · Experience in teaching medical students, residents and fellows Our free standing women’s hospital, MacDonald Women’s, is immediately adjacent to Rainbow Babies and Children’s, one of the nation’s best children’s hospitals with comprehensive pediatric subspecialties and a top ranked NICU. Both hospitals are themselves within the larger UHCMC campus, which is in turn located in Cleveland’s “University Circle” with museums, the symphony and CWRU. MacDonald Women’s houses outpatient offices, an ultrasound unit and actively funded research laboratories (Sam Mesiano, PhD) as well as our inpatient services all under one roof. A high volume L+D unit in immediate proximity to a top children’s hospital is ideal for the management of complex fetal pathology and multidisciplinary academic endeavors. Reproductive freedoms in Ohio are enshrined by a 2023 voter-initiated state constitutional amendment. Our growing MFM division consists of 10 members and draws referrals from regional L+D units in the University Hospitals Health System (UHHS). We have a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship, many graduates of which have stayed with us for faculty. Our residency program also has numerous MFM alumni throughout the country.
