We are seeking a key leader to oversee the operations of several departments providing mission services and ensuring the smooth functioning of Young Life's operations. This role reports directly to the COO and is vital for Young Life's growth and global impact. Responsibilities include guiding the organization's technical strategy, leading technical teams, and collaborating with stakeholders such as the executive team, board, and donors. Departments include VP of IT, Enterprise Architecture, Product Lead, Support Lead, IT Development, among others. Essential Prerequisites: All staff must adhere to Young Life’s Bylaws – Article VII, which emphasizes the organization’s Christian mission and the requirement for employees and volunteers to profess a personal belief in Jesus Christ, subscribe to the Statement of Faith, and embody the organization's biblical standards and policies. Develop and communicate a multi-year technology strategy aligned with organizational goals for a global ministry. Serve as a strategic partner to the COO, CEO, and Executive Team, translating mission objectives into actionable technology and product plans. Integrate technology vision into enterprise architecture and planning. Build relationships with technology-minded donors, aligning their passion for innovation with Young Life’s mission. Organizational Development Foster a global technology culture balancing standardization and flexibility to meet diverse ministry needs. Structure and resource technology teams effectively, including Corporate IT, Product Development, and Operations. Evaluate team capacity, implement strategies for growth, and set annual goals. Manage the technical department’s budget and monitor performance and forecasts. Operational Excellence Define and improve service levels, develop incident management, and ensure system security and compliance. Lead business continuity planning and vendor reviews. Communicate changes effectively across all levels. Design a scalable global technology practice supporting Young Life’s mission worldwide. Talent Development Attract and develop high-performing teams aligned with organizational values. Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement. Implement growth programs for managers and staff. Faith-Based Leadership Demonstrate a faith-informed ethical framework in technology decisions. Model Young Life’s Statement of Faith and foster a respectful, collaborative culture. Key Qualifications 15+ years in senior technology leadership, preferably in global or nonprofit sectors. Proven success in leading technology strategies and teams. Strong mentoring and operational skills. Experience with compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001. Excellent communication skills and global awareness. Alignment with Young Life’s Christian values and Statement of Faith. Collaborative, inspiring, adaptable, and inclusive leadership style. Education/Working Conditions Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. The salary range for this position is $153,900 - $198,400, depending on experience, education, and location.
