Overview Through engagement with operational business leaders and directors, develops project control standards and tools to support Kitchell’s project and construction management consulting services nationally. Leads implementation of Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) and data management initiatives. Engages with project managers and other project stakeholders to understand and implement project controls processes and procedures for specific programs and projects. This role ensures that implementation efforts and changes to project controls processes, software, data architecture, and analytics capabilities are effectively planned, implemented, and leveraged for enhanced project efficiency, cost control, and the long-term development of processes and tools, driven by insights from user research and technological advancements. Manages and leads team in innovation of processes, services, software and hardware, improving and adding value through efficiency and accuracy. Lead change for processes and procedures by developing and communicating new ideas, comprising all stages of the thought cycle from innovation to development through actualization. Duties and Responsibilities Engage with business leaders and users to understand how changes to processes, products, services, software and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value Coordinate, plan and lead PMIS implementation projects and change management initiatives using organized management techniques Provide expert leadership in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which include project and construction management workflows involving the entire project management team, including but not limited to Owner, Project Manager, Architect, Engineer, other consultants and General Contractor Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies tailored to project controls, encompassing the integration of multiple enterprise platforms and the development of a robust data architecture foundation Collaborate with coalition of stakeholders to develop project control solutions and processes that meet immediate as well as long term business needs Keep all stakeholders informed about changes in project controls methodologies, software integrations, and analytics capabilities Implement training programs for the on-boarding and continued use of internal and external end-users Implement scalable strategies to enhance data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within project controls systems and analytics reports across a wide variety of projects Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the impact of change initiatives on project controls, cost performance, schedule adherence, and user satisfaction Continuously evaluate and improve project controls processes and standards based on user feedback, KPI evaluation, innovative technologies, and evolving industry standards Maintain well documented and high-quality standards, understands key process issues and ensures implementation of process improvements Develops standards and templates through a library of program and project management tools and online systems Contribute to business development efforts including the preparation of interview/RFQ response materials and presentations for business pursuits or association presentations Create customized solutions for a varied range of issues using all tools available and independently researching additional solutions when needed Attend and support the interview process and project/program kick-off meetings as required Coordinate with IT resources in implementation of new project management software Other duties as assigned Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field is required (a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or related Technology and at least 15 years related work experience will be seen as an equivalent) 10 or more years of progressive and position related work experience in construction management and project controls management is required Experience in implementing PMIS platforms for at least 5 substantial projects or programs – greater than $200M in construction value is required Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential is preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Program Management Professional (PgMP) credential is preferred Experience in implementing Kahua, Procore and similar PMIS platforms is preferred Knowledge and Skills Advanced computer skills and proficient knowledge as a PMIS Administrator of project controls platforms are required Knowledge for construction cost and document management processes and best practices is required Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to foster and maintain effective interpersonal relationships are required Ability to train and manage new users of technology, including PMIS platforms is required Problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions, informed by user research is required Experience in managing multiple disciplines and building collaborative teams is required Ability to work with and support multiple project teams simultaneously is required Commitment to the values of Kitchell with attention to honesty and integrity, quality of work, client satisfaction, people development, profitability and managing change is required Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Kahua, Procore and Power BI is preferred Network ties with professional associations is preferred Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a general, climate controlled, office environment. Travel Requirement Travel may be required up to 25% of the time Valid Arizona driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, free from suspensions or restrictions, is required
