Strategic Program Governance – Program Director

Program Director
responsible for governing and overseeing high-complexity programs from inception to delivery. The role focuses on early risk detection, program health monitoring, and strategic interventions to ensure smooth execution and successful delivery. This is a strategic role that ensures successful program execution by identifying potential failures before they happen. The SPG team plays a crucial role in guiding high-value, high-complexity programs to ensure seamless execution, governance, and risk mitigation. The Program Director will steer critical projects - Program Director vantage standpoint, provide inputs during the proposal & execution phase, interact with customers & demonstrate maturity/experience in complex program execution, stakeholder Interaction bring aspects which need to be Shaped/recalibrated for successful delivery of the engagement, provide early warning signs on the program and facilitate Scope change management support to delivery team from an adoption along with the client. Technical Skills: Project/Program Governance:
Experience in Fixed Price, T&M, and Hybrid contract models Delivery Methodologies : Strong knowledge of Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, and Hybrid models Technology Understanding:
Awareness of modern Cloud, DevOps, AI/ML, and Microservices-based architectures Risk Management:
Expertise in RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) frameworks Financial Oversight:
Strong budgeting, burn rate analysis, and cost optimization skills Tool Proficiency : Hands-on experience with JIRA, MS Project, Power BI, Confluence, ServiceNow, and other PM tools Data-Driven Decision Making:
Ability to track KPIs, OKRs, and metrics-based program evaluation Requirements Traceability:
Experience with RTM (Requirements Traceability Matrix) and Scope Governance Process Skills: Program Lifecycle Mastery:
Experience in managing end-to-end program execution (Initiation → Planning → Execution → Closure) Strategic Interventions : Ability to conduct health checks, executive briefings, and root cause analysis Change Management : Expertise in change request governance and impact analysis Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Ability to align Delivery, Sales, Pre-Sales, and Customer Teams Escalation Handling:
Defining path-to-green strategies for troubled programs Continuous Improvement:
Driving lessons learned and retrospective analysis Customer Engagement:

Comfortable in high-pressure and rapidly changing program environments Stakeholder Management : Ability to work with internal and external teams to drive governance Primary Duties / Responsibilities: Oversee program execution and maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders to manage expectations and gather feedback Recognize potential program slippages before they escalate Oversee project budgets and timelines Facilitate effective change management processes when project scope or requirements evolve Report on project performance against the SPG principles Lead and motivate project teams to ensure high performance and effective collaboration Qualification: Somebody who has at least 18+ years of work experience in program/project governance and delivery oversight. Education qualification: B.Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, M. Tech or equivalent technical degree from a reputed college Certifications preferred: PMP, PgMP, SAFe Agilist, CSM, ITIL, PRINCE2, or equivalent
