Key job responsibilities
As the Systems Development Manager, you will lead our critical Test Framework and System Test App Development team. Your responsibilities include: Technical Leadership & Architecture
Design and implement test solutions for large-scale, complex software systems with a focus on architectural integrity. Demonstrate strong coding skills and set high standards through personal contributions. Proactively identify and resolve software quality issues, architectural deficiencies, and test framework limitations. Provide insightful code reviews to enhance team capabilities and testing excellence. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of system components to ensure effective test coverage and integration. Team Leadership & Mentorship
Lead technical strategy development and establish testing priorities aligned with organizational goals. Participate in hiring processes and mentor team members to improve skills and effectiveness. Guide implementation of engineering best practices, including unit testing and continuous deployment. Drive improvements in engineering efficiency and address root causes of quality issues. Communicate technical decisions effectively and resolve contentious issues. Cross-functional Collaboration & Innovation
Demonstrate measurable technical influence across multiple teams. Develop sustainable testing frameworks that increase productivity. Anticipate system failures and implement preventative measures. Create solutions to remove bottlenecks and enable innovation. Balance test coverage with quality indicators to improve product stability. You will be the driving force behind our Test Framework, infrastructure, and App Development Team, architecting automation solutions and leading talented engineers. This role requires balancing technical leadership with people management, mentoring, process improvement, and fostering cross-team collaboration. You will champion testing best practices, make strategic decisions on test coverage and reliability, and innovate our automation ecosystem to empower teams to deliver confidently. About the team
The Device OS team is central to creating innovative devices and services at Lab126. They handle board bring-up, low-level software, core OS architecture, framework development, cloud services, and system functions that bring devices to life. The team also develops cross-OS software stacks to enable partner teams and accelerate product development. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Strong background in test automation and Infrastructure as Code. Proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing SDETs/DevOps teams. Experience supporting and managing global teams.
