This role is with Capital Group. WayUp is partnering with Capital Group to hire top talent. As a FinOps Analyst (Software Asset Management), you will utilize communication, technical, analytical, and quantitative skills to perform data analysis, develop cost optimization models, spend modeling, and create effective license position reports on client and server software titles. You will partner with Application Technology Owners to recommend cost-optimized software license consumption alternatives, and create reports and dashboards from large datasets within our Software Asset Management tools, data lake, CMDB, and other inventories. You will also assist in maintaining the backend of our Software Asset Management system. Key Responsibilities
Analyze and define software contracts and licenses, understanding complex license terms, entitlements, and inventory strategies. Implement solutions for complex software licensing and pricing, applying hardware and software design principles, pricing models, and financial discipline to optimize costs. Make cost optimization recommendations, influencing service strategy and driving operational excellence. Communicate complex license models clearly to stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Experience with FinOps Software Asset Management, working with major software publishers (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat, IBM, Adobe), with a high understanding of license models. Strong financial skills and understanding of corporate accounting. IAITAM Certified Software Asset Manager or equivalent. Technical proficiency with tools like Flexera One, ServiceNow CMDB, Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, or similar. Ability to analyze data, communicate trends, and provide actionable insights. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills
Experience with software management tools. Automation and deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, SCCM). Advanced programming skills in Python, PowerShell, or similar. Compensation
Southern California Base Salary Range: $108,135-$173,016 San Antonio Base Salary Range: $88,896-$142,234 Additional bonuses and benefits apply, including a retirement plan with 15% contribution. Learn more
