Sr. Control Systems Engineer - Multiple Shift Position

Roche . The Senior Control Systems Engineer provides expertise in engineering, design, installation, and start-up of automation systems. Responsibilities include supporting manufacturing operations in problem-solving related to automation systems, validation of process and facility automation, and developing code and system architectures to ensure user compatibility. The role also involves developing label specifications for external suppliers. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 12 pm to 8:30 pm, with shift differential as per policy. Key responsibilities include: Optimizing and troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment for filling & packaging operations in an FDA-regulated environment. Supporting overall control system concept and support, including programming, configuration, and troubleshooting PLCs, HMI, VFDs, Servos, and Vision Systems. Creating electrical schematics and automation/controls-related drawings. Supporting the design, maintenance, and validation of manufacturing processes or equipment. Interfacing with technical teams and supporting new process or technology exploration. Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred; other engineering disciplines considered with relevant experience. At least 5 years' hands-on experience with filling/packaging equipment or system integrators. Experience with Rockwell Software (RSLogix 5000/Studio5000, FactoryTalk View ME). Experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, OPC-UA). Skills required: Excellent verbal and technical communication skills. Ability to explain complex automation sequences clearly. Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction. This job is listed as Mid-Senior level, full-time, in Engineering and IT, based in Princeton, NJ, with a salary range of $150,000 to $175,000.
