Base pay range $135,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer Position Overview:

The

Senior Electrical Engineer

serves as a subject matter expert in electrical systems design and installation. This role leads the electrical design process from the pursuit and planning phases through full project documentation, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and efficient solutions. In addition to technical leadership, this individual provides mentorship to associate engineers and designers, supports the development of internal design standards, and plays a key role in expanding design-build capabilities across various markets.

This position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional project teams and a client-focused mindset to deliver innovative and practical solutions that meet organizational and customer goals.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Design

Serve as the lead electrical designer on assigned projects from concept through construction documentation.

Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, and IEEE.

Produce and review electrical drawings using Revit; experience with additional design tools is a plus.

Provide quality assurance and technical oversight for junior engineers and designers.

Client & Project Engagement

Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, BIM Detailers, and Field Leadership to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the broader project scope.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, architects, and general contractors.

Participate in project pursuit efforts, including feasibility studies, preliminary designs, and estimates.

Support long-term client engagement by delivering consistent, high-value solutions.

Team Development & Strategic Growth

Mentor and support the professional development of engineering and design team members.

Contribute to the creation and implementation of standardized electrical design processes.

Assist in identifying opportunities and planning for market expansion related to design-build services.

Process Improvement & Culture

Identify and lead initiatives that improve the quality, efficiency, and consistency of engineering practices.

Champion a strong safety culture throughout engineering and project execution.

Foster a collaborative, accountable, and values-driven work environment.

Qualifications Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or related field such as Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.

Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, systems design, or construction.

Proven success in leading electrical design projects from concept through final documentation.

Proficiency with Revit and other relevant engineering software.

Strong experience collaborating within multi-disciplinary project teams.

Technical & Professional Skills

Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to lead project teams and manage competing priorities effectively.

Familiarity with contract language and project budgeting principles.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Certifications & Requirements

Valid driver's license.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
