Outcomes:
The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes during the first year in the position:
Formally track all tasks, including assigned by, suspense, status, and comments on all assigned tasks through completion and be prepared to brief upon request.
Develop digital continuity folders and files that include standard operating procedures, workflows, and POC lists to accomplish all tasks.
Create 2-3 products beyond the client’s requirements that positively impact the client to increase efficiency, effectiveness, or innovation.
Master position tasks within 60 days and exceed requirements within 90 days.
Responsibilities:
The Secretary of the Air Force, Office of Competition (SAF/OC) Concepts, Development and Management Office (SAF/CDM) Cyber Capabilities Support Office (CCSO) is a research and development (R&D) driven activity supporting the USAF. CCSO develops solutions to hard problems to facilitate national success in Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO). Using a blend of technology, intelligence, and operations SMEs in a quick reaction environment, CCSO develops capabilities to enable COCOM mission objectives across all combat phases.
The Acquisition Program Manager SME supports CCSO across its cyber capabilities’ portfolio with project management tasks, including procurement, financial management, systems engineering, production, security, contracting, and logistics. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing expertise with DoD systems and non-systems full life cycle program management support, including acquisition strategy development, requirement documentation, stakeholder management, and risk management.
Drafting documentation such as acquisition plans, requirements approval documents, and preparing staff summary packages for acquisition milestones.
Supporting risk management and process improvements through developing mitigation strategies.
Participating in SAF/OC meetings and developing responses to inquiries.
Developing Program Element Monitor (PEM) briefings, staffer briefs, and congressional justifications.
Collaborating with financial management on program activities and metrics.
Supporting development of program and contract review briefings.
Maintaining project documentation and conducting risk management and issue resolution.
Communicating project progress to government and leadership.
Resolving technical issues related to cyber capabilities.
Documenting meeting notes, action items, and posting to knowledge management tools.
Managing administrative tasks via SAF/OC/CDM’s tools.
Handling correspondence management, including familiarity with DoD directives and automated systems.
Tracking actions, developing reports, and following up on overdue actions.
Qualifications:
Must have:
Minimum of 15 years of work-related experience.
At least 10 years in DoD acquisition program management.
Expertise in analyzing and developing DoD systems and requirements.
Experience with DoDI 5000.02 acquisition and milestone documentation.
Ability to work independently on high-visibility tasks.
Recognition as an expert in the field.
Exceptional communication skills.
Desired:
PMP or DAWIA certification.
Travel: Local travel requirements.
