Join our multi-disciplinary team at our Wall Township Office. We seek a Sr. Electrical Engineer with 10+ years’ experience in a consulting engineering firm, specializing in building power, lighting, communication, and security systems. You will collaborate with other MEP engineers, architects, civil engineers, and environmental scientists to execute electrical design work for public and private clients. You will also coordinate efforts with in-house and outside teams on various systems including power generation, distribution, low voltage, lighting, communication, fire alarm, and security. We desire an enthusiastic individual comfortable managing projects, interfacing with clients, and contributing to business growth. As part of H2M, you'll have the support of over 450 staff members, passionate about delivering excellence, committed to sustainability, and dedicated to community involvement. Job Responsibilities:
Oversee the Albany office Electrical Team and lead electrical system design including power, lighting, communication, fire alarm, and security systems. Develop and supervise a team of Electrical Engineers in project design, including drawings, calculations, estimates, and specifications; respond to client inquiries; review submittals; and clarify during construction. Review and ensure electrical design documents meet industry and company standards. Assist in developing quality standards and procedures with QA/QC team. Collaborate with management to develop manpower and production plans to meet project goals. Contribute to business development initiatives, including client presentations. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. 10-15+ years of experience in a consulting engineering firm with expertise in building power, lighting, communication, and security systems. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations. Licensed NJ Professional Engineer (NY PE a plus). Excellent communication skills. Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Office; LEED accreditation, AutoCAD, Revit, and EasyPower preferred. Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems is a plus. The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000 annually, with potential deviations based on experience, certifications, and other factors.
