Manufacturing Engineer

Lamart Corporation is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Clifton, NJ team. The ideal candidate possesses both a high level of technical expertise and an innate passion to build. This role will play a critical part in creating and refining processes in order to improve manufacturing safety, quality, and productivity. Responsibilities include: Drive continuous improvement activities on the production floor. Key success factors include increasing safety, reducing equipment downtime, improving throughput and reducing cost Perform root cause analysis and provide engineering support to resolve manufacturing issues Develop and improve SOPs and/or work instructions Mechanical design of machine components, provide CAD drawings for tooling, fixtures and machine parts Assist the Maintenance Department with technical guidance and support in parts acquisition Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment and parts Qualifications: College degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or other related Engineering discipline Min of 2 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical information Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong mechanical aptitude Highly organized, ability to work on multiple projects, managing scope, tasks and timelines Minimum of one year experience with SolidWorks CAD software Good understanding of GD&T Prior experience in mechanical design Proficient in Microsoft Office Prior experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban and 5S Lamart offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, dental insurance, 401K plan and match, life insurance, health savings account and paid time off.
