Lead AI Engineer

Provox Global is seeking an experienced Lead AI Engineer to drive our conversational AI platform development and lead technical initiatives across our Google Cloud Platform-based infrastructure. This role involves knowledge transfer from our current Chief Engineer and will evolve into leading a growing engineering team focused on AI-powered voice and chat interfaces for healthcare applications. Key Responsibilities Conversational AI & DialogFlow Management Design, develop, and maintain DialogFlow CX implementations as the core human interface controller Optimize voice assistant (VA/VAS) and chat/text experiences Configure and manage DialogFlow Phone Gateway integrations Monitor and resolve AI hallucinations while ensuring coherent customer dialog Implement proper AI grounding techniques for reliable interactions Develop and maintain Node.js Cloud Functions for business logic layer Build intermediate APIs and JSON-based services Configure and optimize GCP environments, environment variables, and deployment pipelines Monitor system performance, CPU usage, and implement alerting systems Ensure high-volume concurrency handling with proper variable locking and storage optimization Manage code versioning and migration strategies Maintain and optimize integrations with healthcare systems (Dentrix, EzText, PhoneNumLookup) Design and implement webhook architectures Build monitoring solutions for no-match phrases, call disconnects, and conversation dead-ends Develop business operations dashboards (Power BI or similar) Database & Analytics Setup and maintain MySQL databases Implement ETL processes and data pipelines Configure BI/reporting tools (Looker, Power BI) Testing & Quality Assurance Develop comprehensive testing strategies including manual and automated approaches Build regression testing suites and high-volume stress testing frameworks Create responsive Web interfaces Develop custom web applications (non-WordPress) Build interactive systems for appointments and e-commerce functionality Implement Gemini API integrations and advanced prompting techniques Work with Vertex AI for model deployment and management Explore Google AI development tools including Agent Builders and API hubs Potential development of fine-tuned models based on business needs Required Qualifications Technical Skills 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) 3+ years hands-on experience with DialogFlow CX Experience with Cloud Functions and serverless architectures Database expertise with MySQL and SQL optimization, good to have noSQL experience API development and integration experience Testing frameworks and automation tools Version control with Git and collaborative development workflows Experience with conversational AI design and implementation Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) concepts Familiarity with Google AI/ML services (Vertex AI, Gemini) Knowledge of prompt engineering and AI model integration Additional Technical Requirements ETL and data pipeline development BI tools experience (Power BI, Looker, or similar) #J-18808-Ljbffr
