As a
Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer - TRP , you will work with the Baker Hughes Americas Service Engineering team, leading Trip Reduction Program (TRP) projects for contractual customers in the region. Your responsibilities include root cause analysis of top offenders causing forced shutdowns on critical rotating equipment such as Gas Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Motors, Steam Turbines, and Reciprocating Compressors, ensuring alignment with project and service engineering teams and vendors to meet customer expectations. Your key responsibilities include: Leading TRP projects for specific Customer Service Agreement (CSA) customers or fleets in the region. Acting as a focal point for assigned projects, providing technical leadership in turbomachinery, managing technical issues, and coordinating with customer representatives, vendors, and internal teams. Assessing fleet technical condition, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Knowledge of VSDS, electric motors, gearboxes, auxiliaries, and LNG operations is preferred. Analyzing reliability of accessories, managing engineering projects, leading Root Cause Analyses, defining validation plans, and measuring corrective action effectiveness. Focusing on maintenance optimization, interfacing with CSA managers, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance project execution and reliability. Analyzing data from BH and vendor Monitoring & Diagnostic systems to prevent failures and optimize performance. Participating in technical reviews, conducting risk prioritization, performing FMEA, reviewing technical documentation, and supporting diagnostic system development. Validating performance calculations, supporting testing activities, and providing insights on CMU opportunities. Fuel your passion To succeed, you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience with gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, and electrical equipment including VSDS, motors, generators, and relevant auxiliaries. Familiarity with control software (e.g., Mark VI/VIe, MicroNet/Plus) and engineering documents. Experience with vibration monitoring systems like Bently Nevada System1.
