The Field Service Engineer role is mainly responsible for the preparation, installation, commissioning, debugging, and customer run-off events of custom manufacturing equipment that Axis Automation delivers to our customer base. Other field-related responsibilities include service calls, contractually required machine maintenance, updating customer machinery, and troubleshooting existing equipment. The Field Service Engineer will liaise with Axis Controls Engineers, Project Managers, and customer points of contact. Main Responsibilities: Support existing and newly installed equipment at customer sites. Debug existing equipment and edit/add logic to ensure optimal machine performance. Troubleshoot control system wiring, safety circuitry, and PLC/robot code. Interpret customer specifications and communicate effectively to produce machinery that meets both customer and Axis Automation specifications. Support customer run-off events for custom-built machinery. Support the build and electrical teams. Take project assignments and direction from the Controls Engineering Manager. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years’ experience in a Controls/automation focused role. Willingness to travel domestically approximately 60%-75%. Programming experience with PLC, HMI, Robot (pendant and simulation programming), Motion Control, and Vision Systems. Design experience with electrical and pneumatic systems and/or proficiency in reading electrical prints concerning troubleshooting and commissioning electrical control systems. Preferred software experience: RSLogix5000/500, Studio5000, TIA Portal, FactoryTalk, Ignition, ProView, AutoCAD Electrical, Robot Studio, Roboguide, Motosim, Keyence, and Cognex software. Preferred robotic experience: ABB, Fanuc, Yaskawa, Kawasaki, Nachi, Kuka. Ability to work Monday – Friday with flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed in the field. Valid driver’s license. Estimated Total Compensation:

$120,000-$160,000 Benefits:
