We are currently seeking a Site Controls Engineer to work in our Manufacturing facility in Pasadena, TX, reporting to the Technical and Process Engineering Manager. This multifaceted position involves control system implementation, testing & maintenance, process improvement & optimization activities, capital project development & execution, and providing technical support to ensure stable operations. The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in new plant commissioning and start-up.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead the development, configuration, and implementation of a DCS and SIS control system at the site.
Serve as the single point of contact for site controls & IT activities with all relevant parties.
Contribute to functional design specifications, safety requirements, alarm rationalization, and process simulator development.
Participate in loop checking & commissioning activities.
Lead troubleshooting and maintenance of control systems.
Implement process improvements and optimization related to controls.
Develop and implement scope for new capital controls projects and provide input for site capital projects.
Coordinate with Corporate IT and third-party providers for IT initiatives.
Support change management, ensuring safety and compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) principles.
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in the chemical industry, with a preference for batch processing.
Experience with control standards ISA-88 and related standards.
Experience with Honeywell Experion PKS, UOC controllers, and SIS is desired.
Strong understanding of process control equipment integration and installation.
Flexibility to support a continuously operating manufacturing site.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to facilitate troubleshooting and team meetings.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education Pay range: $100,000 - $150,000
