AXA XL . Our Legal team has an exciting opportunity for a technically minded and adaptable person to join as Legal Counsel, Wordings. You will be part of the global Wordings team supporting underwriting across all product lines in US, Canada, and Bermuda, handling complex commercial risks. This role offers the chance to demonstrate your drafting skills and provide advisory services to underwriters, clients, and brokers, helping shape the future of the Wordings function in North America. Responsibilities

Providing legal advice on policy forms, endorsements, and product review to support underwriting decisions. Supporting new and existing insurance products, fostering innovation. Engaging with internal teams like Claims, Compliance, and Global Underwriting to deliver organizational projects. Advising on coverage terms and assisting with filing strategies and objections. Supporting regulatory communications and filings. Participating in strategic projects within the legal and global teams. Qualifications

Law degree from an accredited institution and licensed attorney in at least one U.S. state. Experience in insurance coverage, policy drafting, or related legal areas, preferably in casualty or commercial property insurance. Knowledge of insurance laws, claims, underwriting, and litigation; cross-border experience and bilingual skills are a plus. Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and prioritize tasks under pressure. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; proactive and creative thinking. About AXA XL
