Position Responsibilities
Oversee and execute complex legal strategies on high-volume, high-impact lawsuits, including representative claims and class actions Lead or supervise case teams through all litigation stages—from pleadings to trial or resolution Craft and argue dispositive motions, attend court hearings, and guide settlement negotiations Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and excellence Participate in strategic planning to help expand the firm’s litigation reach and social justice mission Liaise with clients, experts, and co-counsel while maintaining clear, effective communication on litigation progress Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Background: A minimum of 8 years of experience as a practicing civil litigator Substantial background in plaintiff-side or impact litigation, including wage disputes, employee protections, or class-based harm Demonstrated ability to handle complex caseloads independently or lead litigation teams Education & Licensure: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active member of the California Bar in good standing Core Competencies: Advanced litigation skills, including courtroom advocacy, deposition management, and written argumentation Strategic thinker with strong leadership instincts and case management acumen Deep sense of purpose, with a desire to use litigation as a tool for broader social or economic equity Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing attention to nuance or detail Benefits include health and dental insurance contributions, long-term disability coverage, flexible remote work options for attorneys outside the local commuting radius, and a non-hierarchical, mission-centered workplace that rewards initiative and impact.
