Position: Geo-structural Design Engineer Location is flexible.
Responsibilities If you are an engineer seeking to find innovative solutions to complex problems, this role offers an exciting opportunity to combine your engineering expertise with hands-on construction, while challenging and growing your technical skills. You will work with a dynamic team to develop value solutions including underpinning, deep foundations, earth retention, slope stabilization, landslide repair, and ground improvement. As the largest geotechnical construction company in North America, we integrate multiple techniques to deliver the best value to our clients.
Provide engineering support to the estimating department for bid preparation.
Prepare detailed design calculations and oversee the production of construction drawings.
Support project managers during construction.
Qualifications
Master's degree in civil engineering preferred; bachelor’s degree considered.
Minimum of 5 years of structural and/or geo-structural engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of ASCE7, IBC, AASHOTO, AISC, and ACI codes and standards.
Experience with concrete and steel design.
Some geotechnical engineering knowledge is preferred.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and good communication skills.
Must be a licensed professional engineer or have the ability to become one within a year.
Proficiency in Excel, Mathcad, and AutoCAD; familiarity with software like Ram, SAFE, Group, L-Pile, GeoStudio, Plaxis, and DeepEx is a plus.
Additional Information Salary Range: $100,000 - $175,000 per year, based on experience and other factors.
