Job Title: Controller Reports to: Administrative Manager As a member of management, the Controller is responsible for direct supervision of all day-to-day accounting and financial activities. Primary responsibilities include supervision of daily and period end processes preparing, Period, Quarter and Annual reporting while supervising Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll Processing, Treasury functions, GL Activities and reporting. The Controller will create and implement systems which align with the policies and procedures at our company. Responsibilities • Oversee all company accounts and investments • Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports • Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants • Motivate and lead finance/accounting team members by clarifying roles and providing coaching and feedback • Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported • Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation • Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations • Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities • Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies • Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations • Report to the Administrative Manager with timely and accurate financial information • Assist the Administrative Manager in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members. Qualifications: • Strong work ethic, accountability and team mentality • Strong leadership skills, ability to develop and coach direct reports • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects • Ability to articulate concepts and recommendation in a clear and concise manner • Timeliness; the ability to meet strict deadline and work well under pressure • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment • Solid understanding of budget forecasting and cost accounting Requirements: • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree (preferred), in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting • 5 + years management experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment • GAAP and financial reporting technical skills WORK CONDITIONS: • Primarily job functions are done in an office setting. Must have the ability to work without supervision. May need to occasionally be exposed to the manufacturing plant, noise, hot or cold weather. May be required to lift up to 25lbs. Must have the ability to climb stairs. Ability to travel. Seniority level
