Further details will be provided by our recruitment team. This role focuses on reviewing issues identified by management, second line of defense, and third line of defense. Responsibilities include verifying issues submitted to the Issues Management Validation team and collaborating with business partners to resolve review comments and discrepancies. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, technical knowledge, effective communication and writing skills, problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, data interpretation skills, and a comprehensive understanding of business requirements to accurately assess and validate issues, ensuring appropriate remediation. RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with Business Unit Risk Managers to identify potential issues and participate in their development. Review management action plans to ensure they address control deficiencies effectively. Validate that issues identified by management and the second and third lines of defense are properly remediated. Work with teams to ensure issues and closure packages are correctly completed prior to review meetings. Engage with stakeholders to ensure risks are understood and properly managed across all lines of defense. Review issue submissions for tollgates, prepare issue packages, and ensure timely resolution of pending items. Assess the scope of examinations or findings from various defense lines or regulators and identify necessary resources for remediation. Participate in meetings to track remediation efforts and review activities. Oversee review processes, provide updates to senior leadership, and escalate challenges as needed. Review management responses and participate in close-out meetings. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree or experience in auditing, technology, risk management, or related fields. Preferred: Degree from a reputable institution with strong academic and extracurricular record. Preferred: Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CIA, or CRISC. Additional certifications in risk, security, or technology are desirable but not required. 6-8 years of experience in technology risks and controls, information security, or operational risk management. Deep understanding of financial institution processes, products, and risks. Strong knowledge of governance, oversight, and risk frameworks like NIST, ITIL, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior management. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. Experience in risk assessments, testing, and control evaluation. Project management skills and problem-solving capability. Experience with automation or conceptualizing automated control solutions is highly preferred. The typical base pay range is $115K–$160K, depending on experience and location.
