proposal development ,
regional lead generation , furthering existing client relationships, and developing new relationships. In all interactions, the Sales Consultant acts as a

What You’ll Do: The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed in this position. They are not intended to prescribe or restrict the assignments that management may make. Pursue and secure Lerch Bates projects
with existing building clients and new construction building clients. Develop
new client business
relationships and expand
existing client business
relationships. Market and sell
all Lerch Bates services for new construction and existing building clients, including; Vertical Transportation, Logistics, Enclosures, Structures, Forensics, and Façade Access. Accurately
scope and price services . Create professionally developed proposals and/or qualification packages that have been previewed in advance with the prospect and/or client. The quantity of proposals and qualification packages should meet or exceed defined annual goals with respect to quantity and revenue. Communicate with clients and the Lerch Bates operations team regarding awarded projects to
ensure successful handoff. Identify and source new prospects
, clients, and opportunities that align with business strategy. Execute strategies for the
initial introduction and future procurement
of new business leads/opportunities. Successfully communicate
with new prospects and existing clients in advance of proposal development for scope/fee alignment, actively pursue and manage regular proposal follow-up activity, and excel in the performance of closing of sales. Influentially engage with both prospects and clients
via phone/email, face-to-face meetings, presentations, and more in order to increase relational depth/width and drive opportunities for new business and referrals. Achieve key performance indicators
(KPIs) for weekly/monthly metric-driven tracking to achieve lagging indicators for goals aligned to proposal submissions and sales. Consistently use CRM tools
and/or other tracking methods in the overall sales process, including, but not limited to, regular data entry, client dialogue, lead/proposal process, and sales transfer to operations. Engage in
out-of-office client networking engagements
such as organized recreational activities, charitable events, trade show attendance, industry organizations, and occasional after-hour events, as needed. Lead, mentor, train,
support, and provide performance evaluation as directed for Market Development Consultants. What You’ll Bring: A
Bachelor’s Degree 5 to 10 years experience
in sales and/or business development Prior success in
sales team leadership Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications,
specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. An ability to maintain and operate with a
high level of professionalism
and flexibility An ability to
adapt to a changing , fast-paced office environment while working with internal and external clients/coworkers and executives Exceptional grammar

This position requires strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Employees must interpret complex information, apply mathematical and logical reasoning, quickly learn new skills, and manage detailed, multitask workloads under shifting deadlines. Regular interaction with executives, colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders is also expected. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug test. The drug test includes screening for marijuana, regardless of state or local laws permitting its use.
