$120,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr G&E Partners are currently working directly with a leading Texas GC seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager with a strong background in education facility construction. In this role, you will join a leading GC with a robust presence in the Texas market, taking charge of large-scale K-12 projects across the Houston area. This is a high-visibility position with long-term career growth potential. Project Leadership : Oversee large-scale education construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met. Team Management : Lead and mentor project teams, including Project Managers, Engineers, and Superintendents. Foster a collaborative and performance-driven environment on-site and in the office. Client Communication : Build strong, trust-based relationships with school districts, universities, and architects. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive updates and solutions-oriented leadership. Business Development : Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams to pursue and win new educational projects, leveraging existing relationships and industry presence. Contract Oversight : Negotiate and manage owner, subcontractor, and supplier contracts. Ensure alignment with project goals and risk mitigation practices. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred. 12+ years of experience in commercial construction with at least 5 years in K-12 or higher education project leadership. Experience with top ENR-ranked or established regional General Contractors. Proven success delivering large-scale educational facilities ($30M–$100M+), including ground-up campuses and occupied site renovations. Demonstrated long-term tenure with previous employers (5+ years at a single firm preferred). Strong knowledge of Texas school construction standards, procurement processes, and client engagement. Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Houston area; onsite presence required.
