Senior Project Manager with construction project experience
to join our Places Infrastructure project management team in the Connecticut area. This position is on-site and located in the New Haven area. At this level, the Senior Project Manager will manage the delivery of a project, working with senior stakeholders and operationally managing a project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all work and outputs are executed to meet project needs and objectives. Role accountabilities
Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing projects from initiation to completion. The Senior Project Manager possesses expertise in client/stakeholder management, capital planning, financial reporting, scheduling, cost control, and safety management. Key responsibilities include
Development of positive working relationship with final client and related stakeholders as well as internal team members Capital planning and financial reporting on projects assigned Manage work in compliance with state and local requirements Skilled in the coordination, reconciliation and integration of functional schedules to create the project control schedule Experience working with SOWs, project master schedules, budgets, change orders and cost estimates Knowledgeable in leading and implementing complex business change solutions Review schedules, analyze critical path updates, schedule progress, evaluate schedule options, and communicate schedule status to the project manager, client, consultants, and others Build detailed cost reports, change notices, and other cost control tools Required Qualifications
Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field. CPM certification is preferred. Minimum of 12 years' experience with an architectural, construction management, or facilities team in the Public buildings sector, with at least 5 years of on-site experience. Experience in all project phases: planning, preconstruction, procurement, construction, handover, commissioning, and validation. Strong client and team management skills.
