Join Child Serve
as
Vice President of Legal Affairs
to lead legal strategy across corporate governance, compliance, business development, and operational growth. Serve as a key advisor to the CEO, Executive Team, and Board, ensuring legal alignment with the organization’s mission and long-term success. What You’ll Do Legal Oversight:
Manage legal operations, contracts, risk, and compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations (HIPAA, Stark Law, ACHC, etc.). Provide legal advice, counsel, and opinions in all matters affecting Child Serve . Liaise with external counsel and lead internal policy development. Identify legal risks, advise on mitigation strategies, and assist with internal audits or investigations. Business Development & Strategic Initiatives:
Advise on mergers, partnerships, and service expansions. Support due diligence and integration planning. Payor Strategy & Contracting:
Assist in negotiations with commercial and government payors to optimize reimbursement. Analyze market trends and regulatory changes to inform payor strategy. Contract Management:
Oversee enterprise-wide contracts and implement best practices in contract standardization, automation, and compliance tracking. Leadership & Collaboration:
Provide legal counsel to executive leadership on legal and business matters. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, trust, and innovation. Corporate Governance:
Support Board and Medical Staff governance by advising on bylaws, policies, board resolutions, and corporate filings. What You’ll Need Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare law, preferably in hospital operations, Medical Staff matters, compliance, and contracting. Active license to practice law in Iowa. Ability to work effectively under multiple demands and interruptions. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster relationships with staff, children, and families.
