Senior Business/ System Analyst

Join a long-term, strategic data project focused on streamlining and harmonizing data across systems within a large, enterprise-scale organization. This role supports the transition from the discovery phase to full business case implementation. You will work at the intersection of business and technology, helping bridge the gap between stakeholders and technical teams as part of a greenfield data ecosystem initiative. Essential functions Gather and interpret business and functional requirements with a focus on data migration and normalisation. Translate complex business needs into clear, digestible inputs for architects, technical leads, and delivery teams. Proactively anticipate and address potential questions from the engineering teams regarding requirements. Spend up to 50% of your time engaging directly with business stakeholders through workshops and collaborative sessions. Work closely with technical teams throughout the implementation phase, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Contribute to project documentation, including governance frameworks, success criteria (KPIs), and technical delivery roadmaps. Qualifications Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) or in a similar role within IT/data-driven projects. Ability to effectively gather and analyse business requirements and communicate them across technical and non-technical teams. Conceptual understanding of Azure data services (ADF, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS gen2, Purview, Microsoft Fabric). Basic conceptual understanding of Python and SQL (hands-on coding not required). Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Maturity, reliability, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Would be a plus Prior experience in data migration or data normalisation projects . Familiarity with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow . Experience working in distributed, multi-location teams. Data-related project experience supporting both technical delivery and business engagement.
