The PLM Analyst will lead PLM system administration activities for example change management, upgrades, testing and day-to-day operational activities. This role will be the single point of contact for all PLM issues, training, access management and functional workflow needs.
Job Duties
Lead technical configuration of the PLM system and ongoing management of the system.
Develop, setup and maintain the security aspects of the PLM system through the identification and management of group and individual user permissions; ensure compliance to governing industry/government data security and control standards
Manage license configuration, numbers of licenses, yearly maintenance, and related software budgets
Test and approve configuration changes requested by the business users and configuration manager - Responsible for adapter maintenance of bi-directional integration to key applications such as ERP and CAD systems
Make decisions on adoption of new features released by Oracle and communicate impact to the business processes if any
Create and own SOPs for all system configuration and/or administration activities
Manage patching and system maintenance schedule. Ensure arrangements for minimal impact to business activities. Ensure maintenance scheduled is pre-approved and acknowledged by impacted business teams
Oversight of external Managed Services team (if any)
Liaison between upstream/downstream stakeholders and PLM team for implementing and resolving any enhancements / delivery issues
Support additional user activities/requests related to PLM System
Qualifications
Bachelor's of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
In depth user and administrative knowledge of Oracle PLM (Product Development, Product Information Management, Projects, Quality Management and Reports/Analytics modules)
Systems integration into EDR, PDM, PLM or experience with items/assembly/BOM’s data input into an ERP system is a plus.
Experience with SaaS/cloud applications (Experience with Oracle Cloud Applications will be a plus).
Strong knowledge of engineering data management; Oracle PLM Cloud, Agile PLM, Windchill, SolidWorks PDM/Manage/PLM, Enovia or similar PLM systems.
4-5 years of experience with Oracle PLM / PLM configurations will be a plus
Experience with Engineering Change processes from Design to Production
Able to work with the business teams to create new processes
Able to plan and lead internal Oracle PLM Data Conversion projects
Able to train business users on PLM functionality and updates
Strong work ethic, ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to work independently, self-starter
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships
Ability to prioritize issues and drive progress in ambiguous situations
Great communication skills for working with partners (manufacturing, quality, sales, administrative etc.) and driving excellence in engineering data communication throughout the organization
Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
Others
Oracle PLM Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
Location
This position is full time and on-site at our Sugar Land, Houston Texas facility.
