We are looking for a Designer to join our growing team. This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State POSITION DESCRIPTION Designers use CAD software to develop 3D models and drawings. Designers are responsible for ensuring that each part of the design and fabrication process is consistent and that all measurements, calculations, and specifications are correct. Designers are heavily involved in the design stages, research and development, construction, testing, and production phases. As well as being proficient in the use of CAD design software, designers must have design for manufacturability skills. They need to understand the technical aspects of their work, be precise and methodological, and use analytical thinking to arrive at innovative solutions for design problems. A designer has to consider the entire manufacturing and construction process of a tool, product, or component, and consult with subject matter experts throughout the process. The following essential job functions are performed as a Designer: Develop details CAD Models ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and project specifications Support Manufacturing Processes: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design packages are producible and assist with tooling, fixture, documentation, and design changes to maintain design and specification requirements Conduct Design Reviews: Participate in, lead and initiate design reviews to present CAD models, provide technical explanations, and incorporate feedback from multidisciplinary teams, including assembly, manufacturing, and engineering teams Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Customer Teams Maintain Documentation: Generate and maintain detailed technical process documentation, material and component BOMs, revision histories, and revision notes Performs other duties as assigned Behavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors Communicate status and issue or roadblocks as required Capable of complex surfacing and lofting. Highly functional solid modeling operations and other methodologies, and the ability to create complex parametric assemblies Fundamental understanding of GD&T and mechanical design, inclusive of the ability to apply it to designs Adept at collaborating with others Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job Aircraft Configuration Control: Ensure assurance tracking and management of aerospace assembly configurations by maintaining detailed records of design revisions, part interdependencies, and version control within CAD and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems QUALIFICATIONS Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3). This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE An Associates of Arts Degree in Drafting/Design Technologies or a related field is preferred Education may be substituted with equivalent industry experience Experience in a PLM system such as SAP/ECTR is a plus Must have strong communication skills through written, verbal, and graphical mediums in the English language Proficiency with Microsoft Office and 3D CAD System. CATIA or NX CAD software is preferred ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Salary range for this role is between
$70,000 - $110,000 , plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role.
