Software Engineer
with a strong Linux foundation and a passion for designing infrastructure software that powers High Performance Computing (HPC) environments. Designing, developing, testing, and deploying software and services that support HPC system management Writing automation scripts in
Bash
or
Python
to streamline tasks and reduce manual interventions Building scalable, efficient software in
Python
or
Rust
tailored to large Linux-based environments Creating and deploying containerized applications using
Docker ,
PodMan , or
containerd Implementing automated deployments using
Ansible Troubleshooting and resolving software and system-level issues in live environments Applying CI/CD principles using tools like
GitLab CI
and
Jenkins Collaborating with teammates using
Git
for version control and continuous development Interfacing with system engineers to translate requirements into stable, supportable code Staying ahead of the curve with recommendations on modern tools, technologies, and approaches Minimum Qualifications:
Clearance:
TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Citizenship:
Must be a U.S. Citizen Education & Experience: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline + 5 years of experience as a SWE OR Bachelor’s degree + 7 years of experience OR 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree Required Skills:
Strong command of the
Linux CLI
and scripting for automation (Bash/Python) Software development experience using
Python
and/or
Rust
in Linux environments Containerization experience with
Docker ,
PodMan , or
containerd Familiarity with
Ansible
for infrastructure automation Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance in operational systems Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as
GitLab CI ,
Jenkins Proficient in source control practices using
Git Strong understanding of secure and efficient software design principles Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of
Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM)
tools such as
Netbox Familiarity with observability and analytics platforms like
Splunk Understanding of
Identity and Access Management (IAM)
systems such as
Keycloak Experience with secret management platforms like
HashiCorp Vault Proficiency using the
Atlassian Suite
(JIRA, Confluence) Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Compensation Range: $179,000.00 - $237,000.00 *The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
