RESPONSIBILITIES
The Embedded Product Risk Manager plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within the Transaction Banking product area. This role requires close collaboration with cross functional stakeholders such as Product managers, Engineering and Operations, 2 nd line Risk and Compliance, Legal, as well as other enterprise partners, to ensure a robust risk managed environment to provide viable products and services to clients. The Embedded Product Risk manager will jointly report to the Transaction Banking Head of Risk and Transaction Banking Head of Product.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in designing and implementing Transaction Banking product governance framework to ensure new product due diligence and change management best practices are applied to new and existing products
Work with Product managers to design, develop and implement risk controls for
new
products to mitigate operational, regulatory, compliance and FCC risk etc. Oversee effective execution of controls with various product families, including identification of gaps, remediation of issues, evaluating residual risk where appropriate and working with Risk Monitoring and Testing team Identify trends / concerns based on reviews of potential loss events, operational events and Risk and Control Self-Assessment, and work with Product and key stakeholders to document and implement corrective actions Act as a liaison between Product and 2LoD to proactively identify and assess risks associated with
existing
Transaction Banking products, and design and implement the appropriate controls Main point of contact for product related Audit and Issue management Ensure adherence to Goldman Sachs Risk Management Policy & Standards, including implementing new and revised policies QUALIFICATIONS 10+ yrs of experience in Financial Services and/or transaction banking 5+ yrs in Risk, Control or Compliance disciplines. Knowledge of Transaction Banking regulatory environment Effective communication and leadership ability to drive results. Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
