Job Description

The Health Informatics Analyst plays a pivotal role in developing innovative analytics solutions for UCLA Health and Health Sciences. Responsibilities include gathering business needs, documenting requirements, identifying key data sources, and creating reports and visualizations to support stakeholder decision-making. As a Health Informatics Analyst, you will provide analytical support for health management, including profiling, health economics, and business performance metrics. Mastery of relevant software applications and understanding policies, procedures, and constraints are essential. You will collaborate with the Manager of Analytics Solutions and the Director of Enterprise Analytics to prioritize work and resolve escalated issues. This role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with on-site presence at least twice a week or as needed. Travel to the 'home office' is not reimbursed. Employees will complete a FlexWork Agreement outlining expectations, which are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted. Salary ranges from $95,900 to $222,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience. Final candidates will be required to disclose any recent administrative or judicial misconduct decisions, allegations, or investigations, and to have left previous positions under appropriate circumstances. Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a healthcare-related organization 5+ years of expertise in MS SQL Server or Oracle Epic Clarity Data Model certification preferred (must be obtained within 6 months of hire) Experience with Epic build in a live environment and clinical workflows preferred Experience with visualization tools like Tableau and/or PowerBI preferred Strong SQL programming skills Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, data modeling, and reporting Knowledge of SAP Business Objects architecture Understanding of healthcare reporting policies and procedures Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to learn clinical and business domains quickly Experience in requirements gathering and documentation Organizational and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Adaptability and ability to handle ambiguity Soft Skills
