Amazon's Financial Technology Team seeks a Programmer Analyst/Support Engineer to optimize our tax integrations and platforms, including custom solutions for Brazil. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with big data, and can handle complex business contexts in real-time. Our applications serve as the core for all Amazon.com tax and financial data, supporting key tax processes both domestically and internationally. This role requires quick learning and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Responsibilities
Analyze and validate tax data flows, reconcile transactions, and support system end-users. Collaborate with business partners on software questions, configurations, and calculations. Work with customers and developers on technical operations; participate in research, planning, and design discussions. Troubleshoot and support interface errors between systems. Contribute to the design and development of technology solutions, improving business processes. Anticipate bottlenecks, prioritize tasks, evaluate tradeoffs, and balance business and technical needs. Ensure operational excellence by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Maintain clear cross-functional communication regarding decisions, risks, issues, and solutions. Innovate through the use of third-party software. Maintain professionalism and persistence in interactions with customers and partners. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Experience with tax software Proficiency with Oracle database and middleware technologies (preferred) Experience with Brazilian tax software Experience with Synchro (preferred) English proficiency 4+ years in software development and support 4+ years in data analysis and SQL Experience with reporting systems and business applications (e.g., MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Project, MS SQL) Proven troubleshooting skills Preferred Qualifications
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment Experience with financial or tax software implementation, configuration, and reporting Experience with Oracle EBS or similar ERP modules related to Finance, Tax, and Accounting Note: Resumes must be submitted in English.
