Digital Marketing Manager Department: Marketing Gaming License: Class III FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: Senior Vice-President of Marketing
Summary Under the direction of the Marketing Vice-President, plans, produces and maintains an on-going schedule of digital marketing programs & analysis to stimulate business growth for the organization. Is responsible for the brand standards and all imagery including photography and any work done by the creative team in any digital capacity. Ensures the company’s customer centric websites, social media, emails, influencer marketing and mobile app is up to date and maintained. Supervises the ongoing digital marketing efforts of the marketing staff and collaborates with all team members to ensure consistent brand standards. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly manages the Social Media Marketing Specialist. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Digital/Web Marketing Develops and implements digital marketing strategies. Manages website optimization. Ensuring the website is visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines (SEO). Oversees content creation. Managing the creation of high-quality, relevant content (blog posts, videos, infographics, etc.) to attract and engage visitors. Manages social media presence. Developing and implementing strategies for social media engagement and growth. Manages digital advertising campaigns. Planning, executing, and optimizing online advertising campaigns across various platforms. Analyzes performance data. Utilizing web analytics tools to track website traffic, user behavior, and campaign performance, then using this data to optimize strategies. Stays up to date on trends. Keeping up with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies to improve effectiveness. Collaborates with teams. Working with other marketing team members, product development, sales, and customer service to achieve overall business goals. Manages Budgets. Overseeing and managing the budget for digital marketing activities. Reporting and Communication. Presenting campaign results, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders. Under the direction of the Marketing Vice-President and in collaboration with any applicable third parties, oversees pay per click (PPC), search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), and social media budgets. Works with Digital Agency & Information Technology Department to resolve website hosting related problems. Tracks online marketing results and provides information to management, including program/promotion evaluation. Provides consistent online activity status reports. Provides support and input into all marketing and operational projects related to online marketing. Schedules and produces various reports according to current project list and upon request. Email Marketing Develops and implements email marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals. This includes defining target audiences, setting campaign objectives, and creating email marketing calendars. Designs and creates engaging email content, including newsletters, promotional emails, and automated workflows. This involves crafting compelling copy, subject lines, and calls to action, ensuring brand consistency and optimizing for mobile devices. Manages and segments email lists to ensure targeted and relevant communication. This includes strategies for list growth, maintenance, and data hygiene. Oversees the entire email campaign lifecycle, from setup and deployment to tracking and analysis. This involves utilizing email marketing platforms, setting up automated workflows, and ensuring timely delivery of emails. Analyzes email campaign performance using key metrics like open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and revenue generated. This includes A/B testing, identifying areas for improvement, and optimizing campaigns for better results. Prepares and presents reports on email marketing performance to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations. Stays up-to-date with the latest email marketing trends, technologies, and best practices. Collaborates with other teams, such as marketing, sales, and design, to ensure alignment and consistent messaging. Works with the Sr Database Marketing Manager to ensure that email campaigns are CAN-SPAM Act compliant and consistent with industry best practices.
Mobile App Marketing Strategy Development. Channel Management. Mobile Advertising: Display ads, in-app ads, search ads, and other forms of paid advertising on mobile devices. SMS Marketing: Sending promotional messages, offers, and alerts via text messaging. Mobile App Marketing. Optimizing app store listings, promoting in-app features, and engaging users within the app. Push Notifications. Managing and optimizing push notifications to engage users with relevant updates and offers. Mobile Website Optimization. Ensuring websites are responsive and user-friendly on mobile devices. Social Media Marketing Strategic Planning. Develops comprehensive social media strategy aligned with overall business goals. Performance Monitoring and Analysis. Tracks key metrics (likes, shares, comments, reach, engagement, etc.) to assess campaign effectiveness and make data-driven adjustments. Paid Advertising Management. Utilizes paid social media campaigns to expand reach, drive traffic, and generate leads. Staying Updated. Keeps abreast of the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices. Reporting and Communication. Communicates campaign results and insights to stakeholders. Content Creation and Curation. Produces engaging content (text, images, videos) and curating relevant content from other sources. Content Scheduling and Publishing. Plans and schedules posts for optimal reach and engagement. Community Management. Interacts with followers, responding to comments and messages, and fostering a positive online community. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED required. College degree in Marketing or related field required; Management or supervisory experience required. 5 or more years’ experience in online marketing or website management.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent PC skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office applications; strong working knowledge of online data analytic tools, pay per click campaign tools. Knowledge of Sales Force Email Software preferred. Needs to be proficient with HTML and web content management systems (CMS). Other Qualifications Must have: Social media experience and understand best practices and social media trends. Ability to write HTML. A strong understanding of email marketing principles and best practices. Experience with email marketing platforms and CRM systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Experience with A/B testing and campaign optimization. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
