Data Center Construction Lead

mission is to develop future-ready data centers with a focus on speed, sustainability, and operational agility. As a key player in
their
early leadership team,
you’ll
help drive the delivery of flagship mission-critical projects across multiple U.S. regions. They
are looking for a
Data Center Construction
Lead
to oversee the full development cycle of
their
facilities—from pre-construction strategy through to operational handoff. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with deep experience in mission-critical environments, who can own site-level execution and drive outcomes without bureaucracy. You will be the central
force
aligning engineering, contractors, consultants, and internal
stakeholders—ensuring
that our projects stay on time, within budget, and exceed performance expectations. This Role Offers: Shape the build-out of a scalable digital infrastructure platform from
inception
. Direct engagement with executive stakeholders and funding partners. J
oin during a rapid growth phase with multiple multi-hundred-megawatt builds in the pipeline. Strong base
package with equity participation potential. Full Medical Coverage: 100% premium coverage for employees. Focus: Guide procurement, bid package development, and contractor
selection
. Lead design reviews and constructability analysis in collaboration with architecture and engineering teams. Develop comprehensive construction sequencing and scheduling using tools like Primavera or MS Project. Support predevelopment value engineering and procurement strategies. Conduct on-site progress reviews to confirm quality, safety, and schedule adherence. Manage field operations including RFIs,
change
orders, and final documentation processes. Coordinate across trades and consultants to ensure consistent standards and successful turnover. Report key project metrics and milestones to executive leadership while
maintaining
the flexibility to jump in and solve issues directly when needed. Build and grow a high-performance delivery team including project managers, superintendents, and support staff. Act as the primary liaison with clients, partners, and investors. Ensure design intent is
maintained
through all phases of execution by fostering a collaborative environment with engineering and architectural teams. Skill Set: Minimum of 15 years in construction leadership roles with
a track record
of delivering large-scale ($250M+) developments. At least 5 years of experience in data
center
or other mission-critical facility projects. Demonstrated success in fast-paced, high-accountability environments—ideally within startups or
cutting-edge
infrastructure firms. Strong command of project control systems, scheduling platforms (Primavera P6, MS Project), and cost tracking tools. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Working knowledge of local permitting processes and utility coordination (Austin area familiarity preferred).
