We are seeking a Lead Data Architect with 12-15 years of experience to drive the end-to-end data architecture strategy.
This role focuses on data architecture (not cloud architecture) and requires strong expertise in Azure and Azure Fabric.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading data governance, data modeling, and full lifecycle data management while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Leadership: Develop and implement the future state architecture roadmap and define an enterprise-wide data strategy. End-to-End Data Lifecycle: Oversee data quality, data governance, data modeling, and data integration. Implementation & Strategy: Lead at least 2 full implementations, from architecture strategy to execution and rollout. Azure Data Expertise: Leverage Azure services (including Azure Fabric) and public cloud data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake. Cost & Performance Optimization: Evaluate trade-offs between cost, performance, and scalability in cloud-based data platforms. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into architectural solutions. Industry Knowledge: Apply mortgage/banking industry expertise to develop tailored data solutions. Required Skills & Experience:
12-15 years of overall IT experience with at least 10 years in data and analytics 5+ years in Data Advisory & Strategy, including ADF (Azure Data Factory) and defining architecture roadmaps 2+ full implementation experiences, from architecture strategy to execution Strong Azure experience is mandatory (Azure Fabric experience required) Expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud-based data platforms Deep understanding of data governance, data modeling, and data lifecycle management Effective communicator with the ability to present complex technical concepts to business stakeholders Mortgage/banking industry experience required Preferred Qualifications:
