What youll do: We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect to join our team and use advanced technologies to drive transformation in mission-critical services. As a key member of our technical team, you will architect solutions that incorporate AI, Machine Learning, IoT, ArcGIS, RPA, and multi-cloud environments. You will be instrumental in shaping our enterprise architecture, collaborating with both business and technical teams, and ensuring that systems meet business requirements, performance, and security standards. Location: This is a Hybrid role, base out of Laurel, Maryland. Responsibilities: Designs and develops business, data, systems, and infrastructure models to craft comprehensive enterprise architectures. Plans and strategizes the migration of architectures to ensure seamless transitions between technologies and platforms. Develops technical reference models, including hardware/software standards, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Engineers integrated hardware and software solutions that meet mission-critical requirements and drive innovation. Leads the design, prototyping, and modeling of systems that align with business and technical needs. Ensures system performance, security, and functionality meet business expectations by collaborating with the project team for testing and continuous monitoring. Leads technical discussions with key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of system solutions. Develops strategies for system interface, integration, and optimization of existing systems to enhance overall functionality and efficiency. Encourages and mentors development teams to rethink technical assumptions and foster innovative approaches to problem-solving. Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Experience: Twelve (12) years of professional job-related experience with a bachelors degree, ten (10) years with a masters degree, or eight (8) years with a Ph.D. degree. Must have hands-on experience performing architecture-related work on at least five (5) IT systems. Proven record of accomplishment in taking a significant role in all aspects of architecture on at least two (2) large IT systems. Application troubleshooting expertise is essential, particularly in the areas of root-cause analysis. Experience with data sources, data flow, and system interactions is crucial. Strong background in advanced computer equipment, software applications, and advanced systems design techniques. Ability to develop solutions for complex technical problems. Superior verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Demonstrated ability to function well in a team. Preferred: Experienced with utility applications. Experience with any of the following: AI, Machine Learning, IoT, ArcGIS, RPA, ServiceNow, PowerBI, FileNet, Oracle Utilities Suite, and Multi-cloud environments.
