Bridge Project Engineer

OBJECTIVE

Lead transformative infrastructure projects with a focus on bridge engineering. RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute comprehensive bridge design assignments including load rating analysis and concrete/steel structure design. Create detailed technical plans, specifications, drawings, reports, and accurate cost estimations. Provide expert technical guidance during construction phases, resolving design questions and ensuring implementation meets design specifications. Conduct field inspections and produce thorough documentation for bridges and culverts. Verify all designs comply with safety regulations, local codes, and industry best practices. Document project details meticulously and maintain organized records. Build productive relationships with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies. Coordinate with review teams and cross-functional disciplines to maintain quality standards. Participate in project design meetings and collaborate with technical staff to meet budget and schedule targets. Mentor and guide junior engineering staff. Support project managers with presentations, scheduling, and other assigned development tasks. REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master's preferred). 10-15+ years of transportation experience with emphasis on structures/bridge design. Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility to obtain one. Proficiency with MicroStation, STAAD, and specialized bridge design software. Experience working with state DOT projects. Strong client relationship management abilities. Exceptional project management and time organization skills. Advanced problem-solving capabilities and critical thinking. Superior written and verbal communication. Adaptability in fast-paced environments with changing priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Commitment to professional standards and continuous improvement.
