Job Description:
Our innovative approach to satellite communications leverages the cloud-hosted Freedom Software Platform and its global antenna network to achieve its mission of securing space access anytime, anywhere. As a Software Development Engineer, youll play a crucial role in developing a complex ground system for the United States Space Force and other U.S. Government customers. YOU MUST POSSESS OR BE ELIGIBLE FOR A TOP SECRET CLEARANCE. Responsibilities:
Achieve expertise in the existing Freedom Platform codebase Develop new software features and maintain existing code Conduct peer reviews with focus on quality assurance and security Practice strong code coverage through unit and integration testing Show potential to champion new software projects for system enhancement Build the codebase with consideration for security, maintainability, and employability Support Operations in anomaly investigations and on-call duties Write code adhering to security best practices (e.g. OWASP Top 10) Regularly assess third-party libraries and tools for known vulnerabilities Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field Excellent programming skills in Java, Rust, Python, or other languages 1-3 years of experience in software development Experience interfacing with various data sources: SQL, NoSQL, RESTful APIs Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Familiarity with satellite communications concepts and methods Possess or be eligible for a Top-Secret Clearance Location:
