SITEC - Network Engineer (SR) - Fort Bragg, NC

Responsibilities Peraton requires Network Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM. This position is located onsite in Ft. Liberty, North Carolina. The purpose of the SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services. These services include maintaining Network Operations (NetOps), supporting systems and network infrastructure, end user and device support, configuration, change, license, and asset management, training, and IMACs services. The responsibilities are crucial for USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and end-users operating globally 24/7/365. Under the guidance of the Sr. Network Engineer, the Network Engineer will perform Tier three network support following the SIE OPORD. The role requires attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software, including network design, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols, TCP/IP, server and infrastructure management. The engineer will test and analyze network components, oversee integration, and manage planning, modeling, design, installation, and maintenance of networks. Monitoring network performance and diagnosing complex issues are also key responsibilities. The position demands keeping technical skills current and studying vendor products to meet government needs, along with guiding junior technicians. Duties include but are not limited to: Providing systems and network engineering and architectural planning services. Collaborating with O&M personnel on strategic design and support. Reviewing existing architectures and recommending improvements. Establishing systems engineering focusing on end-to-end functionality. Managing service integration, database structures, Active Directory, DNS, and client services. Supporting data storage solutions including SANs, NAS, iSCSI, and DAS. Designing portal/web services for enterprise applications and geographical data replication. Monitoring PKI and certificate authorities. Providing CRM support. Handling disaster recovery and backups. Supporting cybersecurity efforts, risk mitigation, and A&A documentation per DoD and IC directives. Maintaining LAN, WAN, VoIP, and network security systems. Establishing SATCOM with IP emphasis. Supporting wireless, application delivery, cloud, mobile, endpoint, and desktop computing. Supporting NSA Capabilities Packages like CSfC. Engineering data, voice, and video networks. Operating network test facilities and ensuring secure data transfer. Collaborating with vendors, government, carriers, and technical staff for network management. Providing expert support in LAN/WAN hardware and security devices. Supporting shift work or non-standard schedules as needed.

Qualifications Required Qualifications: TS/SCI security clearance required. Minimum 8 years with a BS/BA; 10 years with an AS/AA; 6 years with an MS/MA; or 12 years of experience with a High School Diploma. DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).

Desired Qualifications: Certifications such as CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, CCNP Service Provider, CCDP, CCIoT, Aruba Certified Mobility Professional, or Juniper Networks Certified Specialist.
