Director, Marketing Analytics & Automation

You will partner with business units and marketing functions to elevate their brands, engage their audiences, and evaluate the performance of marketing programs across the customer acquisition and retention funnels. You will lead all marketing database and reporting efforts to execute a data strategy that supports Bloomberg's law, tax, and government marketing initiatives and drives campaign performance. You will support conversion rates by providing web user workflow analysis, campaign and channel performance analysis, and events success measurement.
What you will do:
Manage a team of high-energy, curious, technically skilled analysts, ensuring they have opportunities to expand their skills and knowledge about the businesses and stakeholders they support. Develop and maintain a strategy that covers data, coding, and reporting assets supporting overall marketing objectives. Provide actionable insights to business stakeholders based on marketing data across the entire funnel. Leverage strategic thinking with proven analytical and quantitative skills to measure, interpret, and communicate marketing performance at the executive and business unit levels. Stay updated on industry and competitive trends to provide recommendations aligned with the department and organization's vision. Manage all phases of the project management lifecycle to enhance efficiency and prioritize marketing efforts. Oversee analytics projects ensuring data accuracy, analysis robustness, and insights that meet marketing business needs. Be responsible for lead management, including lead scoring, routing, and periodic review of the lead scoring model. Drive integration of data platforms and improve data quality, especially between marketing automation platforms and CRM (Salesforce), collaborating with Engineering and Sales departments. Ensure marketing data compliance with all regulatory controls (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and customer/prospect communication preferences. You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field with expertise in marketing analytics, product analytics, or sales analytics. 10+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise systems and software such as Salesforce, Marketing Automation, Visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI), Web analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe, Amplitude), Data analytics tools (SQL, Python, R). Skilled in translating data into actionable insights. Experience leading analytics teams, working across diverse cultures and viewpoints, fostering an inclusive culture. Knowledge of marketing attribution models and statistical techniques like regression, forecasting, and data modeling. Experience developing and maintaining analytical strategies that provide data-driven campaign insights. Ability to work across large organizations with diverse teams—engineering, sales, product, finance. Deep understanding of digital channel analytics (paid, organic) and campaign analytics. Experience with B2B marketing, campaign development, and go-to-market strategies. Familiarity with Agile, sprint planning, JIRA, GitHub for code governance.
