Your Role:
As a Senior Merchandising Manager at Arbor, you will lead strategic sourcing and merchandising activities for our global building materials and home improvement product categories. You'll negotiate favorable terms, secure competitive pricing, and ensure consistent quality while also deciding product assortment, pricing strategies, inventory management, and product positioning to directly impact Arbor's global growth and customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Curate and manage an optimal assortment of international and domestic building materials and home improvement products aligned with market trends and customer preferences. Identify, evaluate, and onboard global suppliers, negotiating pricing, contracts, terms, and lead times for maximum value and efficiency. Develop and execute effective pricing strategies, balancing competitiveness with profitability. Collaborate closely with marketing and operations teams on visual merchandising, promotional strategies, and product placement to drive sales performance. Analyze global and domestic market trends, competitor activity, and sales data to inform product selections, forecasting, and inventory strategies. Build and nurture long-term supplier relationships, ensuring quality, reliability, and continuous improvement. Implement comprehensive supplier and category management scorecards to monitor performance, maintain accountability, and drive ongoing improvement. Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of merchandising, sourcing, or procurement experience, specifically within building materials, home improvement, construction, or closely related industries. Demonstrated experience in international supplier negotiation, relationship management, and contract management. Proven expertise in product assortment planning, pricing strategy, and inventory management. Deep understanding of global market dynamics, trends, and best practices in merchandising and building materials. Exceptional analytical skills, capable of leveraging data-driven insights for strategic merchandising decisions. Strong organizational skills, with proven ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at engaging effectively with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.
