Job Description Position Overview As a Skilled Tradesman at Ascent General Contractors, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring the safety and functionality of various systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Basic technical knowledge of electric, plumbing, and/or HVAC. Ability to manage projects and time. Perform minor fixes, such as repairing broken locks, damage to walls, etc. Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues. Complete regular maintenance tasks. Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems. Ability to manage subcontractors. Report to admin or manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress. Accurately track the time and materials used. The ideal candidate will have some of the skills below with an emphasis on one discipline and interest in learning and continuing to learn and adapt to a changing environment.
Ideal Candidate will be able to: CARPENTRY:
framing, setting doors, jams, windows finish carpentry. Base/Crown/Casing, cabinet layout, and cabinet installation. Paint and stain experience is a plus. ELECTRICAL:
relocating receptacles, switches, and fixture installation. PLUMBING:
Rough and finish plumbing. Set tubs, shower valves, showerheads, drains, sweat and relocate pipes, knowledge, and skill with using PEX pipe, install toilets and new plumbing fixtures. DRYWALL:
hang, tape, repair, and texture. CONCRETE:
Tile, paper, and lath installation, floating shower walls, floors, and exterior stucco.
