M3 USA . Job Description

The Software Engineer: Data & Integrations plays a key role in developing and improving software systems, data pipelines, and third-party SaaS platforms supporting M3 USAs clinical trials business. The role also involves contributing to projects across our broader healthcare-related group. This position is ideal for quick learners and adaptable generalists who excel at understanding high-level business needs from non-technical stakeholders and translating them into effective technical solutions. Proficiency in software development, web applications, data engineering, and system integration, along with strong collaboration, communication skills, initiative, and a bias for action, are essential. Responsibilities Develop, prototype, and maintain web applications and APIs to support critical business functions. Design, implement, and manage data pipelines to integrate and transform data across platforms. Utilize modern cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-code to manage compute resources. Build and deploy APIs for seamless integration with internal and external platforms. Manage data warehouses, including schema design, optimization, and storage using tools like Snowflake. Implement and maintain data pipelines to ensure data quality and freshness. Establish and enforce data governance policies for compliance, security, and integrity. Collaborate on data standardization and enrichment projects to support analytics and reporting. Integrate SaaS and third-party systems such as Quickbase, Clinical Conductor CTMS, and WordPress. Maintain web analytics tracking and tagging using tools like GTM and Google Analytics. Support internal systems through monitoring, incident management, and operational reliability processes. Work with cross-functional teams to create exceptional user experiences. Mentor junior team members and contribute to code reviews and design improvements. Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Stay updated on emerging technologies, methodologies, and regulatory requirements. Adopt a DataOps mindset to optimize processes and reduce system maintenance complexity.

Qualifications

Proficiency with SQL, Python, Typescript, dbt, data orchestration, cloud computing (AWS, GCP), and web application development. Experience in building APIs, full-stack development, unit testing, and debugging. Knowledge of data warehouse design (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault), privacy, and compliance. Experience with Snowflake, QuickBase, and Google Analytics. Strong skills in data visualization, database administration, and CRM application development. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
