POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Data Quality Assurance Analyst candidate will work closely with product owners, developers, and project managers to define and prioritize testing data requirements. The candidate will add value to the team by validating the data quality, data accuracy, and data integrity by testing various reports and the data sets requested by business users. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with the Business Analyst in gathering requirements to understand and identify business needs and the objectives related to the required data elements. Perform analysis on the data requirements and clarify any questions with business stakeholders. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing. Validate reports to ensure data quality, data accuracy, and data consistency objectives are met. Create SQL scripts to build data sets based on the requirements to validate data against developed reports. Identify and communicate any data-related issues using established agency processes. Support business users during User Acceptance Testing; ability to answer or investigate any questions or issues raised. Design and maintain automated test scripts using Microsoft technologies. Qualifications Required: Education Required: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. Experience Required: 5+ years of relevant QA Data Analyst/ETL testing/Data quality testing. Advanced level of SQL Server database query language (TSQL). Experience in context-based, exploratory, or scenario testing. Basic understanding of programming. Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to effectively collaborate with developers and business experts. Ability to work as part of a self-directed team. Ability to excel in a collaborative and distributed team environment. Ability to work with minimal direction while keeping management informed. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to respectfully question ideas and share a point of view. Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of employees. Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities quickly. Proven strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong aspiration to learn new technologies. Qualifications Preferred: Experience in the education industry is preferred. Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team preferred. Experience with TFS, MTM, and MS Test is preferred.
